What is Mengplaz.lu?
Mengplaz helps application developers and innovators by solving the problem of scattered and diverse address datasets in Luxembourg. The platforms provides an Open API to anyone building something on top of address data. It sits on top of a reconciliation engine, enabling data managers to match unstructured address data to official records.
The platform is built around the concept of “Golden Records” of addresses. Each golden record is given an unique and stable identifier, linked to other identifiers in foreign databases. The only official registry of addresses in Luxembourg, the CACLR, maintained by the Administration du Cadastre et de la Topographie, is used as priority source of golden records – and is completed by unregistered address known in other databases.

About the project
Large scale address database management is a challenge for many territories, as addresses are maintained and used by a wide range of stakeholders in isolated databases.
Nonetheless, addresses are key elements of telecom activities because they drive installation processes, maintenance and planning works, but also capacity development and phase-out programs. High quality and universal address list can impact significantly the end-user experiences, and this one of the reasons why MyConnectivity decided to contribute to it.
After a successful Proof-of-concept project concluded in October 2024, MyConnectivity developed in 2025 an open-source and open-data platform to consolidate all possible sources of addresses in Luxembourg and make this available to the community of developers.
The core of the platform relies on the GreyCat technology, a temporal graph database made in Luxembourg.
