On September 19th, we will gather around fifty professionals to explore the topic of vertical cabling from various perspectives:
- The recent adoption of the Gigabit Infrastructure Act, a new European law aimed at streamlining the deployment of ultra-high-speed networks. This law addresses issues such as infrastructure sharing, collaboration and coordination of civil engineering works, streamlining administrative procedures, and installing fiber optic access points in buildings.
- The national vertical cabling register project, aimed at consolidating and facilitating the exchange of data on the state of installations in Luxembourg. We will discuss the challenges and solutions to ensure a high level of data quality, as it is a key success factor for this project.
- The issue of private ownership of cables installed in buildings. What do Luxembourg’s laws say about a tenant who pays for the installation of a fiber optic cable, highly subsidized by an operator, in a co-owned residence?
Statistical differences between municipalities regarding the uptake speed of ultra-high-speed networks. What factors differentiate these municipalities, and how can we elevate the trend to improve digital inclusivity?
