Dalheim Connectivity Roadmap

Dalheim Connectivity Roadmap

Building on the success of Berdorf, a second project was launched with the commune of Dalheim. A formal agreement was signed between the board of aldermen, the communal administration, and MyConnectivity in september 2025, committing all parties to coordinated VHCN deployment.

POST Technologies serves as the lead deploying operator, working in tandem with CREOS to plan shared trenches, civil engineering, and access to existing passive infrastructure.
Other active operators in Luxembourg were consulted, such as Eltrona, LuxNetwork, Orange Luxembourg, and PLI. Their deployment intentions, commercial positioning in the relevant localities, and infrastructure projects over the next three years were gathered and they were offered the opportunity to join the project.

Next steps :

Following the scoping meeting held in April 2026, works will be phased across the three localities (Dalheim, Filsdorf, Welfrange), with a clear need for alignment on planning and deadlines. Each stakeholder will submit their forecast deployment plans in cartographic format, including street names, routes, and a legend indicating planned execution periods by quarter and year, to consolidate a single view of existing and planned infrastructure.

Upon receiving the data, MyConnectivity will consolidate the information, structure it according to the execution timeline, and submit it to stakeholders for review and validation. The goal is to provide the municipality with a clear and consolidated view of all existing and planned infrastructure, facilitating coordination and ensuring an efficient deployment timeline among all parties.

Project Context

The commune of Dalheim, which comprises three localities—Dalheim, Filsdorf, and Welfrange—has a total of 809 addresses. The area poses a unique challenge due to its exceptionally rich archaeological heritage, requiring particularly careful project planning. Currently, only 209 of the 809 addresses (25.8%) have access to FTTH connections, and MyConnectivity is collaborating with POST Technologies and CREOS to accelerate fiber deployment across the entire municipality.

Target audience

We maintain regular contact with over 30 operators and infrastructure managers across all sectors—water, telecommunications, electricity, gas, roads, public lighting, and more—as well as all 100 communes of the Grand Duchy and the institutions responsible for heritage and archaeological preservation. This ensures we effectively address the specific challenges of each locality.

Our Connectivity Roadmap initiative delivers tailored value to each stakeholder, ensuring seamless collaboration and shared success across the ecosystem.
